Film Friday | Weekly Roundup

Could it be that Pretty Clever Film Gal is nursing another cold, waking up all sneezy, and stuffy, and scratchy? I’ve already put in the cold-time this season, so I call bull on that. Fortunately, it’s Friday which means I have a couple of days of rest, fluids, and nourishing movies ahead of me. A black and white movie is just what the doctor ordered. And, since it’s Friday, it’s also time for the Weekly Roundup where I scour the best of the interwebs so you don’t have to. Happy reading and happy viewing!

Silent Sundays at the Revue Cinema

la-boheme-gish-gilbert

Mark your calendars and shift your brunch schedule, because Silent Sundays at the Revue Cinema returns tomorrow on January, 15. At bat is La Boheme, directed by King Vidor and starring the amazing Lilian Gish and John Gilbert.  Pianist William O’Meara will be providing accompaniment. If that doesn’t get you off the couch on a Sunday afternoon, what will?

La Boheme has long been on Pretty Clever Film Gal’s must-see list, but it can be a tricky one to get your eyeballs, so I’ve never actually seen. Can’t wait though!
